Job Description:

A dynamic winery in the Napa Valley seeks a Direct Shipping and Inventory Specialist to optimize our face to market, ensure accurate, timely shipping, and deliver superior customer service.
The Direct Shipping Specialist will:
Accurately insure shipments are compliant before the pick, pack and shipment of all wine and non-wine retail and internal company shipments.
Ensure secure, neat and on-brand shipping package presentation.
Receive all inbound shipments. Track retail returns and communicate these orders to sales staff. Distribute non-retail inbound shipments to appropriate winery staff.
Ensure that time sensitive orders arrive promptly in the customer's hands by troubleshooting order issues and working with minimize and eliminate problems communicating.
Oversee and manage inventory pars in the shipping cellar and in 3rd party shipping locations.
Proactively offer suggestions for shipment improvement and further inventory controls to ensure quality, cost-efficiency, accuracy, and compliance.
Oversee and provide Delivery Confirmation of orders.
Produce necessary shipping and inventory reports.
Keep work areas neat for efficiency and safety.
Order and maintain all shipping supplies.
Execute gift set assembly, schedule wine club packing, and create plans to package and ship large orders.
Perform other duties as assigned to include cellar support and event setup/breakdown at winery properties as needed.
Maintain inventory control.
Update team on shipping restrictions and changes in laws and regulations.
Maintain inventory pars with our Albany warehouse.
Maintain relationships with our shipping companies to identify cost savings and insure safe and timely deliveries.
Coordinate weekly deliveries to the tasting rooms in St. Helena and Rutherford and to our event locations as required.

Experience and Qualifications:
3 years experience in logistics directly related to retail order management and fulfillment.
Knowledge of each State Direct Shipping Laws as they pertain to shipments of alcohol.
Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook; as well as experience with FedEx Ship Manager or UPS WorldShip.
Experience using Elypsis Software and Microsoft Dynamics Navision a plus.
Must possess comprehensive basic math skills and possess logical creative thinking.
College or secondary school education is helpful for potential candidates
Previous winery experience preferred.
