Job Description:

Southern Wine & Spirits of America, Inc. is the nation's largest wine and spirits distributor, with current operations in 12 states and pending acquisitions in seven states. The multi-state distributor currently operates in: Arizona, California, Colorado, Florida, Kentucky, Hawaii, Illinois, Nevada, New Mexico, New York, Pennsylvania and South Carolina; and has pending acquisitions in the additional states of: Maine, Massachusetts, New Hampshire, New Jersey, North Carolina, Vermont and Virginia. On a national basis, Southern Wine & Spirits of America, Inc. employs more than 8,500 team members.

Job Summary:

-Provide analytical and technical support to Southern Wine & Spirits senior management and sales organizations.
-Assist in the analysis of large amounts of sales, marketing and consumer data with strategic supplier partners and key retail chain customers, developing solid insights into current trends, issues confronting SWS and the Wine/Spirits categories, and opportunities to exploit.
-Conduct internal and external training sessions on how to use SWS data and reporting tools.
-Assist in the maintenance, coding and cleansing of critical data sources.

Job Requirements:

Education/Experience: BA/BS degree in business or related field, or equivalent experience. 1-3 years work experience in a data intensive position.

Skills: Advanced PC skills (Excel, Word, PowerPoint). Extremely detail oriented. Comfortable in a heavily data driven environment. Ability to be a team player in a dynamic, fast-paced environment. Must be able to juggle multiple priorities with tight deadlines. Excellent interpersonal skills including excellent written and verbal English communication skills. Must be self motivated, articulate and creative. Ability to work independently, with a minimum of supervision.

Fluent with market research tools, ACNielsen (or IRI) syndicated information, and common CPG methodologies.
