Job Description:

Grgich Hills Estate is seeking an experienced outside sales representative in Central California - San Jose to Santa Barbara area. This commission based sales position requires maintaining a large base of established accounts and concentrating on opening new accounts. The ideal candidate must be an experienced well respected wine professional with a very strong knowledge of selling premium wine to accounts in a territory running from San Jose to Santa Barbara. This territory is loaded with potential for a sales representative that excels in implementing creative sales and promotional programs, someone with sound business acumen and superior customer service ability, energetic and dynamic, with a proven track record of meeting and exceeding sales targets. Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
• Increase visibility of Grgich Hills Estate, maintain and cultivate trade relationships in Central California - San Jose to Santa Barbara.
• Make regular sales calls on each account and achieve sales goals.
• Establish and continue direct communication with on and off premise accounts, keep them informed of winery news and events, open new retail and restaurant accounts, generate new placements in existing accounts.
• Present our wines and participate in trade and consumer events including vintner dinners, trade lunches/dinners, and wine festivals that are pertinent and beneficial to the winery.
• Knowledge of and relationships with local media
• Excellent computer knowledge required.
• Must submit weekly progress reports to California Sales Manager.
