Position Overview
We are currently seeking a Northern California Area Manager for our California Wholesale Division. This position will be goal oriented and will focus on sales, profitability, marketing, and growing our brands in the market, as well as managing our growing sales force.
Direct Responsibilities
Develop, maintain, and grow the sales of TGIC wines by working with our sales team and clientele.
Direct, manage, and grow our wholesale division sales team in Northern California.
Attain annual case and dollar goals for the region.
Manage sales to house accounts in Northern California region.
Participate in trade and consumer tasting events.
Conduct sales meetings on a consistent basis to communicate sales and marketing objectives with the sales team.
Provide weekly reports and accomplishments recap to the California Regional Manager.
Communicate and work with suppliers in the Northern California market.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree or higher, with at least five years of wine industry experience at the Wholesale/Regional management level.
Must have great general wine knowledge, as well as firm understanding of the wine business.
Must be professional, with great organizational skills, and the ability to thrive in a highly competitive environment.
Established working relationships with key accounts, both chain and broad market, in the territory.
Goal orientated with proven track record of achieving sales and profit goals, distribution objectives and creating positive relationships.
Excellent communications skills, including public speaking, writing, and e-mailing.
Must have excellent computer skills, including Microsoft Office, internet, etc.
Must have general math skills including firm understanding of calculating profit and pricing, conversions, etc.
Able to comfortably lift and move 40lbs.
Must be able to travel extensively within the region.
Must possess a current driver’s license, clean driving record, and be able to meet the company's insurance requirements
Currently reside in or around the City of San Francisco.
Salary Information: To commensurate with experience
